National Women's Health Week

This week is National Women's Health Week. It's a great time to re-evaluate your health and what you can be doing to improve it.  Maybe add more activity to your life, daily walks or run/jog with a friend.  It could be as simple as cutting back on red meat and dairy or any saturated fats.

One of the best ways we can improve our health, which is on the top of my to-do list, is more rest and better sleep!  I say, bring on the siestas!

Here are some tips that the National Women's Health Week website recommends:

  • Getting at least 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate physical activity, 1 hour and 15 minutes of vigorous physical activity, or a combination of both, each week
  • Eating a nutritious diet
  • Visiting a health care professional to receive regular checkups and preventive screenings
  • Avoiding risky behaviors, such as smoking and not wearing a seatbelt
  • Paying attention to mental health, including getting enough sleep and managing stress

What are you doing this week to better improve your health?
I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!
