Funday Sunday

Shanny, Julia and I had a lovely morning at church. We then went to South Coast Plaza to do some window shopping and grabbed coffee and croissants at Vie De France Cafe. I've found the croissant of my dreams! Their Chocolate Almond Croissant is AMAZING -- a buttery piece of heaven with crispy edges and a soft center, lightly drizzled in chocolate and a sweet almond paste! I saved half of it to share with Danny when I got home; he agrees -- heaven. We'll be back for more in a day or two!
As of now, we're going for an afternoon bike ride and meeting up with friends for a possible boat ride and Breaking Bad episode. Life is good.

My 4th

Did you have a nice 4th of July? I hope you had a wonderful holiday full or family, friends and fun!
Here’s what I did on this glorious 4th.

Danny and I rode our bikes down to the beach. It was a beautiful day; 85 degrees and sunny! After a sufficient sun and surf soak, we decided to bike around and catch-up with a few friends and our neighborhood block party.  We then headed to Aunt Bonnie’s for a family BBQ and fireworks.

This boat had a live bluegrass banjo band!

Our neighborhood block party. I painted children's faces and drank sangria -- not a good combination. Just kidding...I only had one cup. By the way, I must post the recipe for Becky's amazing summer sangria.

 Chicken and Ribs!

Love the old-fashioned coke bottles. Nice touch Aunt BonBon!

Aunt Diane's cute flag cake!
